Grade 8 Farewell Slideshow

With the 2025-2026 school year-end approaching fast, the Grade 8 Farewell will be here before we know it. This year the Yorkdale SCC is supporting our Grade 8 classes by coordinating the collection of student photos and the production of the Grade 8 Farewell slideshow.

The information and photos requested below will be used to show three slides per student, progressing through the years. First we will show their youngest photo, without their name, followed by their elementary school age photo, and then finally we will reveal their name alongside their grade 8 age photo, to the delight of those guessing correctly.

We ask parents to provide all three photos, either uploaded here, or delivered to the school office in a clearly marked envelope. As we are simply a group of parents assisting the grade 8 students in assembling their slideshow, we do not have access to current or past student school photos and not everyone would have past year photos at Yorkdale, so it’s simplest to ask everyone to provide them. This way you also get to decide which photos you want to use; they don’t necessarily need to be their school photos.

All information and photos provided will only be used for the production of the 2025-2026 Grade 8 Farewell slideshow by the Yorkdale SCC, and will be promptly removed thereafter.

1) Student's Name:

Please enter your student's name as it should be displayed on the slideshow.

2) Youngest Photo:

Select a new headshot style photo to be used for the youngest photo in the slideshow.

Frame the photo similar to a passport or drivers-license photo, center and zoom to align your student's face within the frame as shown.

3) Elementary Age Photo:

Select a new headshot style photo to be used for the elementary photo in the slideshow.

Frame the photo similar to a passport or drivers-license photo, center and zoom to align your student's face within the frame as shown.

4) Grade 8 Age Photo:

Select a new headshot style photo to be used for the grade 8 photo in the slideshow.

All submitted content will be reviewed by the Yorkdale Central School and Yorkdale SCC before use. In the event of multiple submissions for the same student, we will use the most recently provided photos.
